MEMBERSHIP AND ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS
, OUR 164th SEASON, AND WE ARE VERY EXCITED ABOUT OUR PROSPECTS
• Training commenced in July and the pre-season preparation has gone well with the first match fast approaching. The team travels to Nathalia next weekend for practice matches and then hold full scale matches against Footscray C.C. at Casey Fields on Friday 26th Sept. The following weekend the season starts against Frankston Peninsula C.C
• We have had 4 of our leading 1st XI players/clubmen move on since last season. Jackson FRY to Bonbeach C.C, Ruwantha KELLOPOTHA to Tasmanian club University, Matty CALDER to Langwarrin C.C. and Luke SHELTON to Chelsea C.C. Nathan GUINEA has also moved back to Langwarrin C.C, Bailey WHITE to Somerville, Brayden LAMBDEN to HSD C.C and Raj KUMAR to Nar Nar Goon C.C. These four players are big losses after being leaders and highly valued people in our club. We thank them all for the contribution they made to our great club.
• In the Premier Cricket competition, we have taken steps to bolster our teams’ overall depth across the 4 Senior XI’s, the U18 Pathway, U16 Dowling Shield and Under 15 girls. Our coaches have recruited new and exciting young prospects to improve our depth across all grades; namely an opening bowler, Muhammad IRFAN from Western Suburbs Grade Cricket in N.S.W, Finn GORDON an exciting top order Bat and Off Spinner from the U.K, Jaskabeer SINGH a top order bat that has come over from Dandenong C.C. and Dhruval PARIKH from Richmond C.C, a left arm off Spinner.
• This season we will promote the 3rd and 4th XI’s by providing vision of all matches played at Casey Fields on FrogBox.
• Because of the generosity of our Past Players, we will have an electronic scoreboard on the second oval this season as well as a new board on the main oval provided by Casey Council.
The club has a busy off-field agenda to push in the coming season as we look to expand our influence in the Premier Cricket competition and the Casey Region. As things unfold, we will keep members abreast of these developments.
Please play a supportive role and join our membership initiative, The Bloods, and make our club even greater. I’m sure you will be rewarded. Benefits of membership are below.
